The All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) is the state-controlled trade union which represents most Chinese workers.[1] The organization employs about 500,000 cadre, and many more part-time cadre. There are over a million locals.

However, for the most part, Chinese workers look to independent labor NGO's for help in labor disputes.[2]
