I am not a monarchist, but surely I got to have a heart to all those random people killed in the French Revolution! The whole issue to complex, let me start off of why it started. Read on to find out my opinion!

You see, Louis XIV was rich and the people had to pay with it out of their taxes dollars and didn't get anything in return. They were suffering, so they thought that a republic, like the Americans had created, was the answer. So the people complained to Louis XIV asking for a republic.

Rightfully, the people decided to revolt and then they got blood-hungry and killed everyone that they saw. See, when I heard that I was horrified at what they did!

What is even worse it that they didn't replace with a republic or constitutional monarchy but an aboslute monarchical DICTATORSHIP!

In conclusion, the French Revolution should have only killed people if needed in self-defence of the revolution.
