The National Bolshevik symbol

National Bolshevism is a third positionist ideology that attempts to marry national socialist ideas with that of communist ideas, in that they apply their political position along both race and class lines. It is regarded by many as a form of Fascism and Nazism. Most active National Bolsheviks are in Russia.

The Marxist view of National Bolshevism as a merger of communism with fascism is contested by traditional National Bolsheviks or NatBols who look to the origins of the movement in a strand of German Communism which saw national consciousness as essential to the defence of the workers state against imperialism.
