Qiushi (Chinese: zh: 求是; pinyin: Qíushì; literally "Seek Truth") is a bi-monthly political theory periodical published by the Central Party School and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. It replaced the Red Flag periodical, which ceased production in June 1988 under directions from Deng Xiaoping, owing to China's changing political climate and the Communist Party distancing itself from Maoist class struggle notions of Communist rule in favour of a market-oriented pragmatic system.[1] The periodical is widely circulated amongst high-level Communist Party officials.[2]

The title originates from Deng Xiaoping's famous quote "实事求是" (Shíshì Qíushì), meaning Seek truth from facts.
